The Back 40 is based on our 100 acre, 250-year-old farm in Bobcaygeon, Ontario – in the heart of Kawartha Lakes. Sweet Whiskey Heat was designed by a “Keto-couple” to provide sweet heat without the sugar. Our recipe is sweetened with fermented sweet peppers, Stevia, and a dash of honey for approximately .01% sugar content.
We converted a shed on our farm into the commercial kitchen that produces our sauces. Sweet Whiskey Heat sauces contain no gluten and they are produced in a dedicated facility where no other products are made.
All Sweet Whiskey Heat sauces begin with a 10-day brine fermentation for our peppers and spices which creates a more complex flavor and allows the good bacteria to flourish. The end result is a unique flavor that is also probiotic, bringing the added benefits to your gut and overall health. Help your microbiome!
